CavaBar follows the change taking place in public perception of Cava becoming the preferred alternative to Champagne rather than simply the cheap alternative. CavaBar has a strong brand name to product correlation. The growing consumption of the core product in the UK has increased public awareness of the generic name Cava and gives CavaBar a market lead. This trend was supported during the successful pilot operation where there was a high level of Cava sales and associated cava products such as cava cocktails The sales of Cava were higher than still wine sales and amounted to over a third of the pilot’s overall business. There is virtually no similar concept competition being developed.
